A great moment and a huge challenge.

One month before the opening of RIO 2016 public opinion research showed a record high of 63% rejection. Corruption investigations, financial crisis and a President to be impeached were flocking the headlines. In this scenario we were given the task of making the official film for the Rio2016 inauguration. 

The briefing was simple: reconnect Brazilians with the Olympics and get them ready to participate. With NO MONEY for production. :/
The answer: connect the emotion of sports with the emotions that only the Brazilian people can bring to the event. 

To do that we used a very popular Roberto Carlos (not the football player, the cheesy singer) song called "Emotions". Ok, you may think... This is sounds like a first idea. We did also, but then we started listening to the lyrics as it talks about friendship, optimism, faith, peace... almost all the Olympics values. It was like it was written for this moment!

The video was also used at the sports venues to warm-up  the crowd before each competition.
